A police officer has been shot and killed in Guaymas. I was made aware of this hours ago while on the phone with Ricardo Lopez from Radio Visa, here is the link to the story on El Portal de La Noticia. The head line above the picture states that the assailants were attempting to Kidnap the officer, he resisted and was shot dead. As anyone who pays attention to what has been going on here knows, Guaymas and Empalme have become very dangerous places. The stat for murders in August for the state of Sonora in August was as I recall in around 25 with around 6 of those deaths occurring in Empalme.
