Video of the Week: Wreck diving with the survivors of Poseidons Mistress
Last week I had another opportunity to dive Poseidons Mistress with El Mar Diving Center here in San Carlos. This was my third attempt to dive the wreck whick lies 47 miles north of San Carlos and about 6 miles off the coast. This dive trip was special though compared to the other attempts to dive the wreck since on board the boat was a group of very special divers indeed. The survivors of the very ship wreck we were to dive on were aboard. Without going into to much detail here I had a great conversation with the castaways and at a later date am going to to a full half hour show on the this incredible story of why the boat sunk and how all 16 people on board survived, except the cat and the bird.
There has been a lot of misinformation that circulated regarding the sinking of this boat and who found it after it sunk. When I finish up interviewing the survivors I hope to fully explain why the boat sank and how everyone survived, except the bird and the cat that is.
